Fleet Management for Manufacturing
In 2005 G3 Global was engaged to evaluate the current core business system (SAP R/3) in order to evaluate its ability to meet the business requirements to handle Fleet Management Services. In the process, G3 Global was engaged to evaluate the potential of using a third party solution or a combination of both SAP R/3 and the third party solution in order to achieve the business needs.
G3 consultants engaged the business in the process of reviewing the business systems and assisting users to better utilise current SAP core processes in order to stabilise use of the system prior to introducing more technically advance solutions.
After presentation of the blueprint to the board, delivery of the project was awarded to G3 Global which included the implementation of a Fleet management solution to
- provide core back-office systems to manage the basic day to day processes
- give visibility to end customers
- provide full life cycle on servicing, costs & billing options
- provide customer & contract profitability
- introduce Spare Parts Management
This end solution included the enhancements and configuration in Plant Maintenance, Sales and Distribution, Materials Management, Production, Logistics Execution.
